ABOUT REBECCA

EXPERIENCE

I have over 32 years of B2B technology marketing experience across 30+ companies of all sizes, particularly in product marketing, messaging, positioning, campaign planning, and sales enablement. From 2017-2024 I was a partner and COO/CMO with a small marketing consulting firm, responsible for driving strategy, program management, pricing, and program profitability, in addition to working directly with clients to craft their messaging, content, sales enablement, and campaigns.

IDEAS TO REALITY

My superpower is in connecting the dots to make ideas real and actionable – I can help businesses get from concept to market growth in a way that is focused, practical, and flexible.

PROVEN IMPACT

I specialize in growth and efficiency. I grew my previous consulting firm’s revenue 175% over seven years, while simultaneously increasing margins by 33% and diversifying the business’s customer base. I reduced Dell’s global commercial campaigns by 50% and the agency budget 30% through more efficient campaign planning. I created Dell’s Green IT story which resulted in Dell being named Newsweek’s Greenest Company in America in 2010. I managed a portfolio of printers at Dell, which gained 19% market share in the first year of sales and #1 market position in two product categories.

B2B BEST PRACTICES

I am driven by the Buyers’ Journey, The JOLT Effect, Insight Selling, and differentiated positioning and messaging – so you stand out from the crowd and drive buyers confidently to a closed deal. I am tapped into a network of CMOs from across North America and a wide spectrum of B2B businesses. This gives me access to the best and most current “what works” in B2B marketing today. I’ve embraced AI as a tool to accelerate marketing, from taking ideas to the next level to improving content to automating tasks and more.

I am a seasoned marketing executive and board advisor with over 30 years of experience, known for my operational excellence and expertise in positioning, messaging, and campaign strategy. With a proven track record of helping organizations achieve ambitious goals, I craft strategic visions that resonate with diverse stakeholders. My ability to drive focus through compelling narratives, develop actionable execution plans, and design agile operations and processes sets me apart as a collaborative and results-oriented leader. As the COO and CMO of Visible Impact, LLC from 2017 to 2024, I spearheaded significant growth for the firm, achieving a remarkable 175% increase (18% CAGR) in business. Under my leadership, the organization broke through marketing norms, enabling clients across various industries to foster profitable growth by developing insight-based conversations that matter. Visible Impact was acquired by The Futurum Group in 2023. Previous to working at Visible Impact, I worked in a variety of marketing roles at Dell Technologies and in strategy consulting at IBM. My role at Dell as Director of Global Marketing Technology & Agency Strategy in 2013-2014 showcased my management finesse, where I oversaw a $130 million agency budget and introduced efficiencies that saved over $28 million while improving campaign effectiveness. My role at Dell as the Senior Manager of Green IT + Data Center Energy Efficiency Solutions led to Newsweek magazine recognizing Dell Technologies as the Greenest Company in America in 2010. My leadership extends beyond corporate roles: I currently serve on the boards of several small businesses and as Vice President of the Board of Directors for The Edelweiss Lodge & Spa HOA, and previously served on the board of the Capital Area Tennis Association. Educationally, I hold an MBA in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Art History from Denison University. When not working, I enjoy tennis and skiing and time with my husband, family, friends, and dog.
